At MoneyMob Talkabout, we are a not-for-profit organisation providing a range of community services and programs in the APY Lands in northern South Australia and Alice Springs. We have remote offices in Ernabella (Pukatja) and Mimili communities and provide outreach services to other Anangu communities.
Due to growth in the organisation, we are seeking a friendly and motivated Community Educator Mentor to join our inclusive and supportive team in Alice Springs, NT.

What you'll be doing
With MoneyMob Talkabout, you'll be undertaking travel in the APY Lands communities doing outreach two weeks out of every four. When not on outreach, planning, preparation and administration are done in the Alice Springs office. Your essential duties will also include, but not be limited to:
- Recruit a pool of Anangu workers in each community interested in learning about and delivering financial literacy education on an ongoing casual basis
- Train workers in how to deliver financial literacy education topics to families and groups in a way that supports people learning and changing together.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and training to maintain skills at a high level
- Oversee the production of high-quality educational materials that can be used in various settings.
- Ensure local staff are supported to complete follow-up tasks, administration and referrals for further support from each education session.

What you'll need
You must have a Certificate III in Community Services or equivalent to be considered for this role, and successfully complete a Financial Literacy Skill Set if you have no background in financial literacy work. You will also hold or be willing to obtain a working with children and vulnerable persons check, as well as completing a National Police Check, and have or be ready to get a third Covid-19 vaccination.
You will show the demonstrated ability to be highly organised and reliable while practising cultural sensitivity. You will also have the desire to be part of a collaborative team that upholds all values of MoneyMob Talkabout.
